The only difference is the battery, and with it the size and weight. The POWER Finder 4G 2.0 lasts up to 180 days and, at 241 g with a slightly slimmer housing, is easier to handle. The POWER Finder 4G 2.0 Max has a much larger battery and lasts up to 360 days – up to a year without charging. In return, at 380 g it is somewhat larger and heavier.
All other features are identical: integrated display, real-time tracking with updates every 30 seconds, IP65 protection (splash-proof), worldwide tracking via 4G, geofence, and vibration, removal and power-off alerts.
Our recommendation: Choose the 4G 2.0 if you can charge your tracker regularly or have little space. Choose the Max for vehicles and equipment that stand unattended for long periods – e.g. trailers, construction machinery, boats or caravans in winter storage.

The integrated display shows you the four most important pieces of information right on the device:
GPS: whether the tracker currently has satellite reception and can determine its position
Network: whether there is a mobile connection, so the position is transmitted to the app
Battery: the current charge level
Tracking status: whether the tracker is actively tracking
This way you can see during installation whether the tracker is working properly – for example, whether there is enough GPS and network reception at the chosen spot in the vehicle. There is no need to check the app.
Battery life depends on how often and how intensively the tracker is used. If the POWER Finder 4G 2.0 is not moving, it automatically switches to standby mode to save battery. In this state, the POWER Finder 4G 2.0 lasts up to 180 days and the 2.0 Max up to 360 days. With daily use – that is, when the tracker is moving for about 1 hour per day – battery life is around 60 or 120 days respectively. If the battery level gets low, you will receive a timely battery alert.
No, the magnetic plate is not included in the box; it is available to purchase separately.
With the magnetic plate, the POWER Finder 4G 2.0 can be attached to any metal surface without tools, for example on a vehicle frame or a machine. Without the magnetic plate, you can simply place the tracker out of sight in the vehicle, for example in the boot, under a seat or in the glove box.
In active mode, the POWER Finder 4G 2.0 transmits its location every 30 seconds. If it is not moving, it automatically switches to standby mode to save battery. As soon as movement is detected again, it reactivates and resumes transmitting location data. This gives you regular updates without unnecessarily draining the battery.
The POWER Finder 4G 2.0 and the 4G 2.0 Max are certified to IP65 (splash-proof):

5 = protected against water spray from any direction
This makes the tracker well suited to outdoor use – in rain, snow and splashes. Ideal for motorcycles, trailers, boats or construction machinery.
Please note: IP65 does not protect against immersion or against water under high pressure (e.g. a pressure washer at close range). The tracker is splash-proof, but not designed to be submerged.

Bluetooth 5.2 is the current industry standard: the connection is stable and energy-efficient and barely affects the battery.
Actual tracking runs independently of this via GPS and mobile network (4G). You therefore do not need to be within Bluetooth range to locate your tracker – unlike Bluetooth tags, which only work near other devices.

The FINDER Portal is the platform through which you manage your POWER Finder 4G 2.0. There you see your tracker's location live on the map, review past trips, set up alerts and keep all important information in one place. Yes. You can use the POWER Finder 4G 2.0 via the FINDER Portal App for iOS and Android on your smartphone or tablet, as well as through the web portal on desktop. Both versions are synchronised with each other. Changes made in the app are also visible on the web – and vice versa.
In live tracking you see your tracker's current location on the map. Additionally, depending on the view, further details such as the nearest address, coordinates, altitude and other device data are displayed. Under History you can also review routes driven, stops and alert events. This way, you can see not just where your tracker is, but also how it has moved.
Yes. In the FINDER Portal, movements and trips are saved automatically. This allows you to check at any time when and where your tracker was active. Depending on your service plan, different storage periods are available.
In the FINDER Portal you can view and manage important alerts, such as movement/vibration alerts, geofence alerts, speed alerts, battery alerts and tamper alerts. Notifications are received in real time in the app, as well as by email.

The service plan is the foundation that allows the tracker to work at all. It covers the ongoing costs for the integrated M2M SIM card with data connection, access to the FINDER Portal, regular software updates and customer support. Without an active plan, no location data will be transmitted and no alerts will be sent.
The service plan is activated only after purchasing and receiving your tracker. Each POWER Finder 4G 2.0 has its own device ID. Using this ID, you register the tracker at start.finder-portal.com and activate your service plan there. Your personal FINDER Portal account is also created, and the tracker is assigned directly to your account.
The POWER Finder 4G 2.0 is available with Basic and Premium plans. Both plans share the same technical foundation: real GPS tracking, integrated SIM card, independent data transmission and access to the FINDER Portal. The difference lies not in the tracking itself, but in the range of features, the history length and the included services.
