Keeping My Child Safe on the Way to School

My oldest son Erik started school this year. Already on the second day he was brave enough to take the bus on his own — unlike me, who honestly wasn’t comfortable with it at all.

Unfortunately, the bus service is not very reliable. It often runs late, and sometimes the drivers don’t even know the route. That can lead to situations where completely different roads are taken and the kids end up getting off somewhere else entirely. In our village, there are bus stops on both sides of the street. So if the driver goes in the opposite direction, the children sometimes have to get off at a completely unfamiliar place.

Luckily, I can always see exactly where my son is. (And I can also reassure some of the other “bus-kid moms.”) The tracking updates almost in real time, which is extremely helpful for us. Besides Erik, I also have twins — one of them has Down syndrome and a severe disability. I’ve configured the app so that I get a notification as soon as Erik enters a specific area on his bus route. That way, the twins can finish their afternoon nap peacefully while I’m outside waiting to welcome my son home.

I’ve already recommended the tracker within our Down syndrome community, because some of the kids tend to run off. The PAJ device is very robust, and the battery life feels endless, which makes it perfect for everyday use.

Thank you for providing such a valuable piece of safety for me — and extra freedom for my son!
