As a motorcyclist, I was looking for a way to share my current location with my family to ease their worries and give them peace of mind. Although PAJ offers solutions for permanent vehicle installation, I decided to go with the PAJ Allround Finder 4G. Because of its built-in battery, it doesn’t drain the vehicle’s battery when parked, and I can still track its position for a certain period even when it’s stationary.

For installation, I 3D-printed a custom mount that securely holds the magnetic charger, allowing the tracker to charge via USB while I’m riding.

In addition to simple position tracking, I’ve also integrated the tracker with Home Assistant. This lets me link my ridden kilometres with service intervals and maintenance records. It even allows me to set up additional notifications based on my current position — such as a friendly “I’m almost home.”
